in the Fellowship Hall at
Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church

Crosby Street (Corner of Mountain Rd. & Chapel St.) in Linglestown
All

Membership is not a requirement for meeting
attendance
The research library
will be open prior to
each meeting for the benefit of those who wish
to come and browse through the books, periodicals and other material
the Society has accumulated for genealogical and historical
research. There is no fee for use of the library, although donations
are appreciated. The library will
be open at 1:15 p.m. until the start of the meeting at 2:30. If
there is interest, the library will again open following the speaker
and stay open during the social hour.
In addition to the library, there are two opportunities for those
in attendance to get help. The social time gives attendees an
opportunity to network with others on problems they are encountering
in their search for their ancestors and a part of the structured
program is devoted to questions about genealogical research on which
they feel they have reached a brick wall. One member reports that
information she received at the meeting enabled her to complete her
application for membership in the DAR.
The pamphlet "Genealogy for Beginners" will be
available free to those in attendance.
