MISSION STATEMENT

The Capital Area Genealogical Society was formed in 1982 to foster
genealogical research in Dauphin and Cumberland Counties
in Pennsylvania.

The objectives of the Society shall be to create and to foster an
interest in genealogy, encourage the preservation of genealogical
materials, and to publish a quarterly journal whose information relates
mostly to the counties of Dauphin and Cumberland in the state of
Pennsylvania.

In addition to monthly meetings, other activities of a historical and
genealogical nature are planned throughout the year.

The Society welcomes all who have an interest in genealogy and
family history no matter if they are new or seasoned researchers.
